February has been a quiet month, but then again, most of us were likely snowed in for a week. That time allowed me to get caught up on some personal things.

Despite the quiet month, we had a pretty good turnout for the February social. At the social, we had guest Kevin Jennings read some passages from his book. Quite moving, really. He also spent some time talking to us of his experiences.

The annual Dining Out for Life to benefit Food & Friends will take place today and tonight.

Making a difference has never been easier -- or more fun! Grab your friends, family or colleagues and head out to one of our participating restaurants for lunch or dinner on Thursday, March 11th, and you'll help your neighbors facing life-challenging illnesses.

For this one day, over 150 restaurants in the area will donate 25%-100% of their proceeds to Food & Friends.

Due to the cancellation of last month's meeting due to the snow, we'll be discussing "Krakatoa", originally intended for February. "A Streetcar Named Desire" will be discussed in April.3
