    The "Friends of AGLCA" program was launched at the beginning of 2006, which identified gay-friendly businesses that offer discounts and specials to AGLCA members.

    Who We Are

    The Alexandria GLCA serves GLBT citizens and their allies in the greater Alexandria, Virginia area. The organization provides a hub for communication and activities such as social events, education, community involvement, and political awareness. We are a nonprofit [501(c)(3)], non-partisan association. The Alexandria GLCA was founded in 1983.

    Politics Matter

    Politics: be it good, bad, or indifferent, it affects all communities. Especially, the LGBT community. We have witnessed many achievements and struggles over the past years on local, state, and national levels. The LGBT community must remain a steadfast voice in the ears of our legislators. We must not let allow ourselves to fall behind. We must stay alert, stay knowledgeable and have an active part.

    The US Post Office in Old Town Alexandria that housed the AGLCA's post office box since the birth of the Association has closed. Please note our new mailing address now in effect:
