AGLCA Book Club

The AGLCA Book Club is yet another opportunity to engage in a fun and rewarding activity with your AGLCA friends. We meet monthly, usually on the second Wednesday of each month, at various members' homes, for food & drink and a lively discussion of that month’s selected book. We don't discriminate when it comes to the range of genres we read – from classic literature to best selling novels to biographies to histories to gay fiction! Recent titles have included:

  • Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote
  • Gallileo's Daughter by Dava Sobel
  • Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin
  • The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
  • Jeb and Dash by Harriet Doerr
  • Perfume by Patrick Suskind
  • The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides
  • Full Service by Soctty Bowers
  • Coming up September - December 2012:

  • The Boys in the Band by Matt Crowley
  • The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
  • Driving on the Rim by Thomas McGuane
  • Mayra Breckenridge by Gore Vidal
